This is a comission pic made by my long time friend, Marius Dixon/AKA Rokku-D. Shonnie Flash engages Oriyame in a sparring match.
And then....
That fateful night was a night that will forever reshape the
scope of his world. A once proud detective, martial arts, and tactician was
defeated in more ways than one. What was intended to be a casual sparing match
between proficient martial artists was turned into a one-sided beat down...
Shonnie Flash had returned to his home without uttering a
single word to his younger brother or his fellow agents. All they could do was
stare in shock at the half-shaven head and battered body of their friend and senior
officer. Feeling a mixture of shame, humiliation, and confusion, the detective
could no longer bare to show his face to his friends.
So he secluded himself to
his room under the cover of a generic paper bag mask.
Like a lot of people he knew, Shonnie was always infatuated
with the idea of female ninjas. In fact he spent a long time pursuing a
particular kunoichi named Oriyame. Though most of his previous efforts have
failed to leave an impression on her, the young detective had hoped to appeal to
kunoichi's fighting spirit by showing her his skills in a sparring match. However
the match would gradually escalate to a full on battle between warriors.
Despite his best efforts Shonnie was grossly outmatched. No attack he used
could touch Oriyame. His powerful bionic eyes could not locate or detect
Oriyame. There wasn't a single strategy he could implement to overcome her
ninja abilities. It was then at the climax of the fight that Oriyame would
attack with a laser kunai. While Shonnie was able to duck out of the way of the
attack, Oriyame's laser kunai managed to slice-off, more than half of his
famous afro haircut. An act that to Shonnie was on par with snatching off the
mask from a luchador or shaving-off a lion's mane. To say the young detective
was devastated at the loss of his afro, would be a gross understatement.
Because of the great shame and humiliation inflicted on him, Shonnie fled from
the match in disgrace. With a furious outburst, he denounced any feelings he
has held for Oriyame and any positive opinion on kunoichis.
"Kunoichi are evil.
They are nothing but trouble... Kunoichi are evil. They are nothing but
trouble... Kunoichi are evil... They are nothing but trouble... "
The detective would repeat that montra over and over. Until those words burned into his mind. Soon he would develop a latent resentment towards female ninjas. His heart, once full of infatuation for the female practitioners of ninjitsu. Now boils with bitterness and hatred at the mere sight of a kunoichi.
